The Kai Bear Sport fishing boats both depart from Nawiliwili Harbor, Kauai’s main seaport. Both Bertram boats are fully equipped, one is a 41 ft. Kai Bear and the other a 45 ft. Grander, both available for your comfort. The experience and friendly Captain and crew will display knowledge and professionalism which will show immediate competence.
You will begin your productive fishing for big game within fifteen minutes of leaving the Harbor. Season permitting, you will expect to catch Striped Marlin, Pacific Marlin, Ahi, Mahi Mahi, Ono, and possibly a Sailfish. Each fisherman will be provided with the top of the line fishing equipment with at least one custom made Blue Water Rod and Penn International Gold 2-speed reel. Experience proven lures will be placed to attract the most elusive trophy fish. Have your cameras ready to capture the fun you will experience.

The KAI BEAR is a Bertram 38 Convertible III Sport fisher. At 17 tons and 41 ft. LOA, the Kai Bear offers Bertram's renowned ride. A fly bridge 14 ft. above the water with seating for six provides a panoramic view of the action and the beautiful coastline of Kauai. The Kai Bear comes fully equipped with the best and newest fishing gear and tackle.
The GRANDER is Kauai’s largest sport fishing boat. At 30 tons and 45 ft. LOA this Bertram 42 Convertible Sport fisher takes the often challenging Hawaiian off shore waters with grace and stability. Perfect for the comfort conscious, serious fisherman. The Grander has a fly bridge with spectacular 360 degree views.

Children must weigh a minimum of 30lbs to fit into a coast guard approved life vest that must be worn for the duration of the trip.
If prone to getting seasick, we recommend taking precautions the day before the tour as well as the day of the tour.
